Foundation Down
Early on Monday September 24, the normally quiet streets of the central city were alive with the rumble of 49 concrete trucks. They were transporting 722 cubic metres of concrete to the site of the Transitional Cathedral. The foundation went down without a hitch and is now curing under a blanket of polyurethane sheets controlling evaporation. Over 50 workers were involved in the pour. Thirsty and hungry work. Sincere thanks to Carters who came to the rescue with a huge cooked breakfast and hot coffee - all donated to the cause.
