Rolleston Cathedral Rises
Pupils at Rolleston School recently celebrated the completion of a unique project focused on ChristChurch Cathedral. Children in R8B7 spent several months researching and building a model of the Cathedral, complete with Rose window, mosaic tiled floor and pews. The project involved exploring numerous aspects related to earthquakes, loss and the re-building of Christchurch. Dean Peter Beck attended an assembly at Rolleston earl December, where the model was unveiled. Students spoke of their learnings and described the various complexities involved in the build.
