Cathedral Foundation

The Cathedral Foundation is an important part of the Cathedral. Prior to the 2010 / 2011 earthquakes it provided financial support to help ensure the preservation and functioning of the Cathedral.

The Cathedral Foundation was responsible for the 2006 Capital Fundraising Campaign in support of the Cathedral Fabric and Choristers.

The objectives of the Cathedral Foundation include:

The preservation of the heritage of ChristChurch Cathedral for future generations.
The creation of an inalienable Capital fund which will generate revenue to provide for the maintenance of the Cathedral, its staff, choirs, services and programmes. To create this Fund from bequests, all of which will be added to the capital Fund.

The Chairperson of the Cathedral Foundation is Mr Humphry Rolleston.
